Boat Trips
Boating
Whether you hire one of our boats, bring your own small boat or dinghy, or go on one of the many available guided boat trips, for many people there is nothing to beat “mucking about in boats”.
The immediate area of the Sound of Seil and Ardmaddy Bay are protected much of the time from the wilder weather by the Islands of Seil, Luing and Torsa.
There is a private jetty at Ardmaddy and Craigullean (aka the Ferryman’s Cottage) has its own private slipway.
Guests are welcome to go paddleboarding, kayaking and windsurfing with their own equipment and at their own risk.
If you would like to bring your own boat please contact us first to confirm feasibility and options re launching, mooring / storage.
In season there is mackerel fishing and other exciting sea-fishing options both near shore and further afield via the various guided operators.

Guided Boat Trips
If you don't have your own boat, or don't feel confident to go out on your own, but would still like a trip on the water, there are many boats offering trips of varying duration, details for which are given further down this page. For some this is an opportunity to go wildlife spotting, whale watching, visiting the world famous Corryvreckan whirlpool, sight seeing or just for the joy of it.
